Tips from locals
Beautiful property built in (and restored back to) 1796 when the Georgian area of Edinburgh was created. Very knowledgeable guides in all the rooms. Allow 2 to 3 hours to make the most of it.
Managed by the national trust, The Georgian House offers a fab insight into the life of people in the New Town historically, and the architectural journey of this Unesco World Heritage site.
Find out what it was like to live in one of the New Town's houses when the New Town was built in 1820 or so. This is Tom's favourite attraction.
