Aslam's Rasoi

Why locals recommend it

It's the coolest Indian restaurant, authentic, and not a hole in the wall. I live outside of the city in Emeryville, and I'll drive across the Bay Bridge just to go pick up this food. If you and your date love a place with great energy and amazing comfort Indian food at an affordable price, this is your spot. It can get pretty crowded and loud in here around dinner time, but you don't need reservations.

Owner and Chef Mohammed Aslam — with the help of his son Asif — has taken his native Pakistani cuisine to another level with his own Rasoi (kitchen), the realization of a dream by his own design.
