From the history of the church and surroundings A village known as Podskalí - the seat of Prague woodworkers and swimmers - was built between Vyšehrad and Resslová Street at the beginning of the 12th century. In the old Podskalí these churches originally stood: St. St. Nicholas, vol. Vojtěch Menšího, sv. Kosmas and Damian, vol. John the Baptist and the forerunner of the present Church of the Holy Trinity - the Church of Sts. Antonín, originating from the first half of the 14th century. According to the rumor, the church was built by craftsmen who built an Emmaus monastery in their spare time from the saved material, so it did not even gros.
