Big Sugar is a tributary creek to Big Elk. It is rated as one of cleanest and clearest streams in Missouri! This stream is rated as a class 2 difficulty (due to manuvering difficulties when the water is at a moderately high level). There is no danger of raging white water rapids or drop-offs and relatively inexprienced canoers can feel safe on Big Sugar.
