Solund municipality is situated in the very end of the Sognefjord, on the north side of the fjord. The municipality consists of 1700 islands and islets, and the Sognefjord merges with the ocean in this municipality. You may take day trips, and you may travel on both sides of the fjord. Many places worth seeing, not at least as a contrast to the high mountains where you are staying.
