The archaeological museum of Frigiliana opened in 2009 as the first archaeological museum of La Axarquía. The 125 pieces displayed in chronological order, all come from the surrounding area of Frigiliana. There you can find pieces from the Neolithic Era up to the end of the Moorish kingdom in Frigiliana (XVI century). Moreover, the museum hosts a contemporary art hall and one for temporary exhibitions.
