At the heart of the city is Yagan square. One of my favourites. I love it here because there a so many cafes and restaurants that have great food. You are really spoilt for choice. They also have beautiful ambience, some facing the city, you can eat while you watch the city go by, or order coffee and read a book. There's also an amphitheatre that has a live band on Friday or Saturday afternoon/evenings. There's also a kids playground upstairs with soft floors. It's a great spot for the whole family. It's also a stone straw away to North bridge!

RECOMMEND: Take a train ride into the city (Perth Station). Bars and restaurants to enjoy in Yagan Square.
While you’re walking into the city, stop by the Yagan Square. It’s a good place to meet up with friends, chit chat, grab a coffee or an ice cream for the kids or a quick bite. There’s Market Hall, basically a food hall. Plenty of food to choose from. The playground here is really nice for kids. Well designed space. At night, you’ll see some spectacular light installation.
