Viva Rancho Cantina

This is an interesting spot in Burbank. It’s a Mexican restaurant with a couple small stages. Tons of people play here, mostly local country artists with a few jazz players thrown in. Even a lot of locals don’t know about it. On Mondays the main attraction is George Doering, one of the most sought-after string players in Hollywood. He plays guitar, mandolin, banjo, and has appeared on pretty much every movie soundtrack since 1990. He and his band the Brombies play the most murdering bluegrass I’ve ever experienced.
