Why locals recommend it
Crazy Coqs, in Soho’s Brasserie Zédel, relaunched in 2016 and is reinventing itself as a venue where anything can happen. Stunning 1920s belle époque architecture transports you back in time, but the programming is from the here and now—from Broadway stars performing songs they love on a night off to up-and-coming jazz singers cutting their teeth. On Saturday night, they have after-hours from 11 to 1. It’s a nice atmosphere, quite boisterous and irreverent, despite the more formal, French-style surrounds. The tables are pushed aside and people dance to live jazz music. It’s a great alternative to all the cheesy bars in the area.

Tips from locals
SOHO: A fancy little treat before the theatre: french brasserie with a touch of glam!
Pure luxury, marble Art Deco dinning hall with pillars and amazing French cuisine. Make sure you go down the stairs! There’s also a Caberet venue, with amazing vocalists and some brilliant West End performers.
Fantastic 'underground' restaurant with opulent Art Deco styling. French style service & food, Cabaret Bar (booking required), American Bar. Good value, great location & feels like a special night out...
Great value with stunning interiors in the heart of busy London. Don't forget to grab a cocktail.
