Very picturesque village used in many film sets. Ideal for a walk and afternoon tea in a pretty hotel.
Voted the prettiest Village in England - and with good reason. Park at the top of the village and saunter down to the market place and along The Street to the weir. It's blissful! Castle Combe was set location for Stardust, Warhorse, and Dr Dolittle
This quintessential English village has been used for filming the 1967 Dr Doolittle film where the stream was transformed into the harbour. More recently it was a location for Wolfman, Robin Hood and War Horse amongst others.
27 Miles. Historic Lower Castle Combe is one of the prettiest villages in England, located within the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). Apparently no new houses have been built in the lower village since about 1600.
