The Lighthouse of Praia da Barra, or also know as the Lighthouse of Aveiro, is an iconic landmark of the region, and definitely worth a visit. You can visit it on Wednesdays afternoons at 14h, 15h or 16h. You will have to climb 271 staircases but the effort is compensated by the gorgeous views! Well worth the climb.
It is the tallest lighthouse in Portugal and it is said to be second tallest lighthouse in Europe. It is open to the public on Wednesdays and the views from the top are absolutely stunning.
