The most beautiful place I've seen in Peru so far! Don't miss it. It's worth the difficult climb. If you can be there before 7 AM, you'll be one of the only ones, and it's the most peaceful thing ever.
A stunning emerald green lake with glaciers as the backdrop. A short but difficult hike at altitude, or rent mules to help with the climb up.
Half hour away you can find the second most important attraction in Cusco after MachuPichu. Salkantay is the first part of the Inca’ s trail and Choquenquirao is a monumental archeological place recently discovered.
Nestled high in the Peruvian Andes, Laguna de Humantay is a pristine turquoise glacial lake surrounded by towering snow-capped peaks. Its serene and untouched beauty offers a peaceful escape and a chance to connect with nature in its purest form. Its a full day tour, I liked it better than the Rainbow Mountain.
