Right off the interstate, it's the last foothill of the Appalachian Mountains. Beautiful scenery, waterfalls and creeks!
Spacious campsites, beautiful walking trails for all levels, and advanced mountain bike trails/ramps - about $4 ea to enter park - well shaded.

Chewacla's lake features a diving board, beach, and paddle boat rentals. At the top of the park is a large flat grass field with picnic tables nearby. From here you can hike down to the beautiful waterfall. The park offers multiple playgrounds, and options for camping. Tip: Hike down to the water fall for relaxation or sunbathing on the rocks.
