Tips from locals
One of the two museums created by J. Paul Getty, the Getty Center is an art museum with breathtaking views of the city. Known for its architecture, gardens and mainly pre 20th century European art, the center is located on top of a hill that is only accessible by an cable pulled hovertrain, which is an experience of it's own.
The Getty has a gorgeous 360 degree view of L.A. and breathtaking architectural and garden design.
Art and architecture buffs will love this place. A wonderful way to spend an afternoon. Save some time to walk the beautiful gardens. Admission is free. Parking is $10.
