A truly wonderful blend of Vibrant South African culture, arty, surf culture, restaurants and bars, live music, local community kitchen restaurant, old tiny muizenberg village area. Evening food market (blue bird market), I love muizenberg and the people
Muizenberg is a suburb on the eastern coastline of the greater Cape Town with one of the most active surfing communities in South Africa. Muizenberg gets its reputation as one of the best surfing beach along False Bay for a few reasons. The currents are such that it probably the safest beach in the area and is well patrolled for sharks. For this reason all the Cape Town surfing schools are there. This beach side suburb supports crowded streets and a bustling beach during the holiday season as locals flock to enjoy this little shoreline spot. Though the beach is the main attraction, there’s more to Muizenberg than just sand and water, there’s plenty of surf shops, restaurants and coffee shops located just along the main beach. With a strong colonial history, Muizenberg has great historical attractions along with local hotspots for the travelers who are looking to veer off the tourist map and get the most authentic experience.
