The saltwater tidal marsh is a nursery for many fish species, a place where shorebirds can forage and fiddler crabs make their homes. The Nature Conservancy has added many people-friendly amenities including a picnic pavilion, bird blind and artists’ easels, to make the visitor experience enjoyable. Free parking.

The Garrett Family Preserve is another favorite of ours. Located within walking distance of the Bungalow, we enjoy coming here for the trails year round. In the Spring and Summer months, this place really shines- there are fields of wildflowers that attract birds and pollinators of all kinds.
