On your drive out there, you wouldn't believe that this place exists in seemingly the middle of nowhere! A great hike to traipse amongst the sandstone features.
Unique open space with distinctive color variations & rock formations plus 4 miles of trails.
a. 29950 Paint Mines Road, Calhan, CO 80808 b. We have loved hiking around Painted Mines. The rocks are all different colors in each layer & there’s tons of little caves to explore. c. It’s free, but I don’t remember a bathroom or outhouse being available, make sure to do that before you travel out there.
