Tips from locals
South of Miami, you can find the spectacular scenery of the Biscayne National Park. The national park protects much of Biscayne Bay, and the unique and diverse ecosystem that’s found in the water here. In the national park, you can snorkel, scuba dive, kayak, canoe, or paddleboard to see more of the surroundings and get closer to the marine life.
This national park protects aquamarine waters, emerald islands, and fish-bejeweled coral reefs. Here too is evidence of 10,000 years of human history, from pirates and shipwrecks to pineapple farmers and presidents. Outdoors enthusiasts can boat, snorkel, camp, watch wildlife…or simply relax in a rocking chair gazing out over the bay.
Much to see, both above and below the surface of the water. A treasure!
For many, the park is a boating, fishing, and diving destination, while others enjoy a warm breeze and peaceful scenery.
