Looking for a great sand and shingle beach? Criccieth beach in North Wales is a great spot for the little ones to explore, plus when you’re soaking up the sun, you’ll get some awesome views of the castle. Pop on your swimming costume and go for a paddle, the water quality here is great for a splash about, and maybe if you’re brave enough even a swim! There’s a rocky headland too, giving the beach a little shelter from strong winds so you’ll get to splash about in nice waters. Great sand and shingle beach Dogs allowed in off peak months Great for a swim

The closest beaches are to the west where you will find, amongst others, Barmouth, Porthmadog and Criccieth. They are around an hour from here.
Cricceith Beach is a mixture of sand and pebbles with excellent parking. The high street is less than a mile away.
