Awesome hike in Hana. Gorgeous views, bamboo forest, big banyan tree and a GIANT waterfall at the end. Bring your own pack lunch and water. Hike takes about 2-3 hours, in total. They shut the trail down around 3-4pm. So, plan your arrival accordingly.

This trail is one of the many sightseeing and hiking spots on the way to Hana. Take the Pipiwai trail to see the great Waimoku Falls. **If you have visited the Haleakala National Park already, you can use the same visitor pass within 3 days here at the Pipiwai trail (and vice versa).

One of our absolute favorite hikes and a must-do if you're visiting Hana! This 3.8-mile round-trip trail takes you through stunning bamboo forests and past beautiful waterfalls, ending at the breathtaking Waimoku Falls. Park at the Haleakala National Park Kipahulu Visitor Center (entrance fee or National Park pass required). While you’re here, make sure to stop by the Seven Sacred Pools for another incredible view!
