Located in the Harbor, a fun indoor historical maritime museum. We love this spot in the harbor and its an easy walk from Villa Azul. Be sure you catch a ride on the Lil Toot for a tour of the harbor or get to take outfood and watch the boats go by.
SBMM opened its doors to the public in July 2000 in the Waterfront Center Building, formerly the Naval Reserve Building, with the unique mission to interpret the diverse maritime history of the Santa Barbara Channel.

Walk the breakwater out to the end of the Harbor and watch the boats and surfers, go to the Maritime Museum full of diving and boating history of the Santa Barbara Channel (and Channel Islands), or take in the best view in town, just take the elevator up to the fourth floor (it's free!). Plus the Endless Summer Bar and Grill and Brophy Brothers are right next door if you get hungry.
