Centre of old town and right outside your door steps! Best square to grab cheap and cheerful drinks and food when it’s sunny!
The Grassmarket meets the Cowgate, a street running parallel to the Royal Mile and connected by numerous steep closes, lined with exciting bars and restaurants
This is the 'Old Town' , and packed with history as well as lots of cafes restaurants and independent shops. It has a Saturday Market with crafts, bric a brac and street food. It is worth visiting if you are near the National Museum on Chamber Street, or Greyfriars Bobby and Greyfriars Kirk. It can be quite lively at night.
