Tips from locals
A more challenging walk, allow 3-4hrs. Quite a gradual incline but the last section from the loch is steep and can change quickly in temperature so pack warm clothing. Absolutely worth the trek, stunning views across the hills and pitlochry.
Walk from the cottage, to hike up to the top of our local Corbett. Stunning views at the top across the Cairngorm mountain range.
This is the mountain that is right on our doorstep. It is 241ft short of a munro (3,000ft) and lies between the Victorian town of Pitlochry and Killiecrankie. "Our" side is the quieter and the effort of climbing even a part of it is very rewarding.
For those of you who like hill walking there are plenty of places to explore including the famous Ben Vrackie with commanding views across Pitlochry and the surrounding glens.
