Built for the 1962 Worlds Fair, this center is still used for festivals and events. The Space Needle has just undergone a major renovation so the views are better than ever. The Chihuly Glass Garden is here, as well as the Museum of Pop Culture/Science Fiction Museum. You may catch a festival here on a holiday weekend.

The best place to start a first-time visit of Seattle. It is home to the Space Needle, the Chihuly glass museum, the Mopop, the Seattle International Film Festival (SIFF), the Climate Pledge arena (former Key arena, home of the Seattle Sonics in the 80s-90s), the best playground in Seattle, the best Fountain for kids to play with in Seattle, a super cool waddling pool, an ice-skating rink around Christmas, KEXP (local radio station) with a nice café. Over the summer, regular events and outdoor expos are organized there. You never run out of things to do there.
