Tips from locals
This is a great place to view the migrating whales during the cooler months. It makes a great walk from the unit if you're looking to really get your exercise!
See Bar .. Trendy restaurant/cafe with live music on Sundays, fabulous ocean views, surfing beach, entrance to Tweed River. Whale watching during the northern migration of the whales each year..especially around September and October.
Where the border of Queensland and New South Wales meets the sea. A beautiful lookout where whales and dolphins may be visible during migration. Good surfing nearby.
