The Needles of the Black Hills of South Dakota are a region of eroded granite pillars, towers, and spires within Custer State Park. Popular with rock climbers and tourists alike, the Needles are accessed from the Needles Highway, which is a part of Sylvan Lake Road. It’s a beautiful drive! I highly recommend!
My top pick of things to see in the Black Hills. Be prepared for curvy roads with beautiful scenic overlooks and driving through a few narrow tunnels. So worth the drive.
Fun drive through the Black Hills with windy roads, unique bridges and a cool view of Mount Rushmore. Stops along the way to let the kids out to climb and play.
