A brown cafe in a small alley with a selection of 200 different beers. It was the first cafe in Amsterdam to serve Belgian and other foreign beers and is located in a former century old liqueur distillery. There are more Gollems out there in the city these days but this place is the original and the most authentic.
Specialty beers! There are three or four beer cafés called Gollem in the city and they all belong to the same owner. But THIS one in Raamsteeg is the original and has this genuine old pub feel. Admitted: the newer Gollems have comfier seating but this one is the real deal if you ask us. We never miss a stop at this venue when entertaining friends from outside the city.
