It was the "Queen of Roads" and used to go from the furthest north right down to the heel of Italy. It was the Romans' main road and you can still see much of it, today. Do go: right in the middle of beautiful green trees, the old Appian Way is a must!
Great for a stroll out of town (although you are actually still in town) past the remains of ancient tombs, following the tracks of Cicero's wheels
Great for a morning walk or bike ride and also leads you to the famous underground Catacombe. Beautiful and lively area for families or a picnic with friends.
