Very popular journey on steam locomotives through the Yorkshire Countryside. Travel behind one of six steam locomotives in beautiful hand-painted carriages for three and-a-half miles from Clayton West Station to Shelley Station. Glorious views await as you steam through the South Pennine Foothills, passing through Cuckoo's Nest, the ancient Blacker Woods, Skelmanthorpe and the Shelley Woodhouse Tunnel (the longest tunnel on any 15-inch narrow gauge railway line in Britain!). The Buffer Stop Café at Clayton West is serving a variety of fresh, seasonal, locally-sourced produce and also has a specials board which changes daily.
