Why locals recommend it
This is the home of chic footwear par excellence! In the 1930s, Vivier created tailor-made shoes for dancers at the Moulin Rouge, the Casino de Paris, and the Folies Bergère—even Josephine Baker—before turning to designing shoes for major fashion houses. Known for the “virgule” (comma) heel and stilettos, today the line also includes handbags in graphic prints and jewelry. I like to shop for heels in the morning, when my feet haven’t swelled yet. That way, you’re sure to pick the right size and fit.
