Skinner Vineyards LLC

It’s a really historic property in the mountains of Somerset, and both the winery and the tasting room here are just super polished and well executed. They're making some really cool wines, focusing more on Rhone varietals more so than anything else, so they’re a little bit more of a bright, fresh, crisp style while still being bold mountain wines. The winemaker, Chris Pittenger, makes pinot noir under the Gros Ventre label, and his pinots are some of my favorite in all of California—he's one of the young guns to watch in the industry.
