Head down to Lexington Farmer's Market on Saturday's from April-October. There's fresh, local vegatables, flowers and other produce. There's local vendors selling coffee and tea. It's absolutely lovely, and a great way to see/experience Lexington in the early hours of the day!

We have a great Farmer's Market on Cheapside, which is next to the Old Courthouse which is being renovated for restaurants, bars and shops. It will be open soon. Cheapside has a sordid history. It was the old slave market. The statue of John Breckinridge and John Hunt Morgan were recently removed, and a memorial to the slaves stands there. The statues were placed in the Confederate cemetery at the Lexington Cemetery.
