In 1818, the Musée du Luxembourg was designated a “museum for living artists”, or in other words, a museum of contemporary art. David, Ingres and Delacroix, among others, were exhibited there. Nowadays the Musée du Luxembourg is one of the leading exhibition spaces in Paris, with several temporary exhibitions each year.

Really small museum but of high quality. Do not miss the exhibition! And have a coffee or a dring in the small coffee on the side.

Situé dans le Jardin du Luxembourg, ce musée offre de très belles expositions temporaires tout le long de l'année. Located in the Luxembourg Garden, this museum offers a number of very beautiful exhibitions all year round.
