Whether it is a nature hike, intermediate or difficult hike, you will enjoy this volunteer built and maintained trail system. Bring a picnic and relax by the pond or hike to the observation deck ( yellow trail). Listen for chimpanzees communicating from inside the sanctuary. The sanctuary is home to 81 chimps retired from medical research

The #ChimpTrails at Project Chimps Sanctuary are not easy trails. But it’s nice to hear the chimps as you hike. They have four open house weekends at the sanctuary to visit the chimpanzees. April, May, September, and October are the months in which they have their open houses. Check the website for details. ProjectChimps.org
