Tips from locals
Just outside the city gate of Valletta lies the Hastings public garden. From here majestic views over Sliema, Floriana and Manoel Island unfold. The name of the garden comes from Marquis of Hastings, who was a governor of Malta. He died in 1827 and is buried in the garden.
Hastings Gardens is a public garden situated on the left side of the Guesthouse. It is located on top of St. John's Bastion and St. Michael's Bastion, on the west side of the City Gate. The garden offers breathtaking views of Floriana, Msida, Ta'Xbiex Yacht Marina,Sliema, and Manoel Island.
Beautiful and peaceful gardens, sometimes events are held such as Valletta Wine |festival here, with spectacular views day and night.
