Although you might be in town for a concert at Huntington Bank Pavilion at the top of the island, Northerly is a 91-acre peninsula with skyline views, hiking, fishing & playing. This is the best place to experience nature and Chicago's skyline simultaneously! 12th Street beach is also beautiful place to lounge and enjoy the lake with a snack shop on site.
A developing natural area in the space of the old airport along the waterfront. Parking is $2/hr. Stunning views of the skyline.
Northerly Island is a nature preserve built over an old airfield that is now part of the Museum Campus. Featuring a 40-acre park, an outdoor concert venue, and numerous artworks, this man-made peninsula is a place to visit that is a little more tucked away. The "island" offers a great view of the Chicago skyline that isn't to be found in other guidebooks.
It is a beautiful beach in the area. You will able to see the skyline from here.
