Really unique aquarium located right next to the river. Even if you don't go in, it's worth parking nearby and walking around. There are a lot of great restaurants and cozy walks to be found.
This aquarium is amazing! There’s an entire building for the ocean displays and another building for freshwater exhibits. Be sure to allow several hours to walk through both buildings. There’s also an IMAX theater and plenty of other things to do while you’re downtown.
If you're only in Chattanooga for a short time, the aquarium is worth your time. Consistently voted one of the best aquariums in the US, your day pass gets you into both buildings (one for freshwater and one for saltwater). We like to do one in the morning, then eat lunch downtown, and do the other afterwards. Your ticket here gives you a discount to other local attractions and vice versa.

The Tennessee aquarium is a great spot to spend a few hours while touring Tennessee's beautiful Downtown Chattanooga. this is Chattanooga's biggest attraction, and one of the largest fresh water aquariums in the world. This is located 18 miles from here, and is a great place to park to walk the river walk, and eat at one of the many downtown restaurants.
