Next to a large antique centre, tea shops and pubs. Lovely large park with play area, ruined castle and old railway track. Pleasant walks through the natural park areas with wildlife.
Clare is a medievil village great to walk around and visit the local shops and tea rooms. The country park has nice walks, is very dog friendly (off lead allowed). You can climb to the top of the old castle ruins, walk along the old rail tracks and theres a great playground for children.
Historic Motte & Bailey castle, home of Elizabeth de Clare, founder of Clare College (& endowed the water meadows to Sudbury..). Good for toddler yomping...
