great local zoo with two parks, a walking trail, a miniature train ride, and low cost admission. Zoo has giraffes, lions, tigers, hippos, all kinds of reptiles, etc.
The Ellen Trout Zoo has just recently celebrated its 50th Anniversary! And “it all started with a hippo”. I mean, what do you do when someone gives you a hippo???? You open a zoo! This is one of the most lovely zoos you will ever visit! Highly recommended!
