The Monte San Primo, with its 1681 m, is the highest peak of the Lariano Triangle and also one of the most panoramic points. After a nice walk, starting from the astronomical observatory of Sormano, you will arrive at mountain S. Primo. From its top the landscape is very fascinating and wide-ranging: to the north the tip of Bellagio that juts out between the two branches of the lake, surrounded by mountains, to the south the gentle hills of Brianza, the plain and the evanescent profile of the Apennines.

Located in Bellagio, Monte San primo is the highest of all mountains on the promontory, it offers unparalleled views of the lake and breathtaking panoramas. Along the way you will encounter large boulders (Pitera Lentina) left from glacial erosion most notably known being the Ghiandone when approaching from Val Massino; a 1500 cubic meter stone whose pitted surface is thought to have been caused by fireballs thrown by playful devils.
