Why locals recommend it
Greens opened back in 1979, as part of San Francisco’s Zen Center, and went from a cult-vegetarian following to a must-experience restaurant—very exquisite cuisine. It’s got the old-school, high-ceiling, exposed-beam warehouse look, with giant picture windows looking out on the water. It’s really a cool look that is timeless. This was one of Steve Jobs’ favorite restaurants. He loved the place.

Tips from locals
My favorite historic vegetarian restaurant in San Francisco. Nice views of the Golden Gate Bridge and marina from the expansive windows. Lots of parking in the Fort Mason Center.
The best vegetarian restaurant; even vegetarian is not your thing, the view is so striking with the Golden Gate Bridge as the background and is totally worth to check it out!
