The jewel in the crown of Bomber County's many aviation museums, the RAF's Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Visitors Centre at RAF Coningsby allows you to get up close and personnel with the stalwarts of WW2 in the shape of 6 Spitfires, 2 Hurricanes, a Dakota and one of the last 2 flying Lancaster Bombers in the world. All are in airworthy condition (or in the process of being repaired) and can frequently be seen flying over the Lincolnshire Countryside.

The BBMF Visitor Centre offers the opportunity to see the Flight’s historic aircraft at close quarters and to observe the BBMF technicians working to maintain them in airworthy condition.
CONINGSBY RAF – Just a few minutes drive away. It is a Main Operating Base of the RAF and home to the Typhoon Force Headquarters and two front-line Eurofighter Typhoon FGR4 units, No. 3 Squadron & No. 11 Squadron. In support of frontline units, No. 29 Squadron is the Typhoon Operational Conversion Unit and No. 41 Squadron is the Typhoon Operational Evaluation Unit. Coningsby is also the home of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF) which operates a variety of historic RAF aircraft.
