The International Peace Garden is 2400 acres of formal gardens, a world class cacti and succulent Conservatory, prairies, forests and lakes nestled in the Turtle Mountains along the Manitoba and North Dakota border. It was founded in 1932 as a place that would be a symbol of peace to nations everywhere about the potential for peace, friendship and cooperation. Today, the Peace Garden hosts visitors from around the world and boasts more than 80,000 flowering annuals in unique settings. The Peace Garden is home to one of the largest unique species cacti collections in the world with more than 5000+ species, a 9/11 memorial, the hands of peace sculpture, The Peace Chapel and year round recreation. The Peace Garden is also home to the International Music Camp, Legion Athletic Camp and North American Game Warden Museum.
