Tips from locals
Long walk/run from Royal Arsenal along thames to get a glimpse of the past and some fantastic non touristy London.
The Pumping Station is a recently renovated example of victorian architecture and steam-powered machinery. Opened in 1865 it was a feat of engineering designed to rid London of the cholera epidemics. It is a unique part of Britain's industrial heritage and an outstanding example of Victorian engineering.
