For a good walk direct from The Coach House, or drive part of the way and walk via the Magog Trust Park, off Haverhill Road, over to Wandlebury. Wandlebury Country Park is attractive and historic parkland. Great for a walk and photography. And after your walk, why not head to The Gog Farm Shop and Deli, within 300 yds, for coffee, lite lunch or tea.
Lovely woodland walk, it's free entry and just £3 car parking there is plenty of space for picnics and a den building area for kids. They have a lovely heard of Highland cows in a paddock.
On the Gog Magog Hills, just south of Cambridge, this beautiful countryside estate offers miles of wonderful walks through woodland and wildflower meadows grazed by Highland Cattle. A fantastic setting for a picnic or a BBQ, to watch wildlife, run around and build a den, a gentle stroll or a strenuous hike. Enjoy refreshments at a pop-up cafe or hire the stables for a special occasion. On the remains of a circular Iron Age Hillfort, steeped in myth and legend, and an 18th century house, stables and gardens.
