Why locals recommend it
In a 1950s home in the El Vedado district, Mediterráneo Havana is known for great seafood and for the blue and white motifs of the decor. I especially enjoy their white wine selection. They merge Mediterranean and Caribbean cuisines to offer something new. The grilled snapper captures your eye, then your palate. Don’t miss the fish croquettes or the octopus and potatoes. For a digestif, I recommend any classic Cuban spirit—my personal favorite is the 12-year-old Santiago Rum.

Tips from locals
This great place is only three blocks from home. Here you can try fish and pizza (Italian food). The quality of the food is excellent and maybe due to this reason is a bit pricey by Havana standards, but highly recommended at least once during your staying in Havana.
Step inside an unassuming Vedado house and you’ll discover some of the best pasta and pizza dishes that Cuba has to offer.
