Why locals recommend it
Open-air markets tend toward eco-friendly wares, and these—Sydney’s first—also have a stylish edge. Every Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm, join fashionable locals in browsing handcrafted, refurbished, and designer goods. A portion of profits are donated to a local charity-run space for the city’s homeless, so this is feel-good shopping on many levels. Don’t miss an ice cream sandwich from Pat & Stick’s—the now-international brand started out here in 2004, and sells classic cookie-and-ice-cream combinations and popsicles in flavours like peach raspberry.

Tips from locals
Held every Saturday between 10am and 4pm, Paddington Markets offer a range of local, usually handmade products, crafts, jewellery, clothing, vintage items and food. Many of Sydney's designers started out at the Paddo Markets, that have been running since 1973! Enjoy browsing and stop for some food at the international food market.
Bit more of an upmarket, market probably good for buying presents and unique gifts but has some interesting items too.
