The largest open-air art gallery in the world. Well with one exception: the Berlin Wall. Here is for example the famous kiss of Erich Honecker and Leonid Brezhnev.
1.3 kilometres of amazement: take a walk along the East Side Gallery and rediscover art and the history of the Berlin Wall. A Trabant, cleverly painted to look like it’s breaking through the wall. Honecker and Brezhnev in a brotherly socialist kiss. A section of the Berlin Wall makes it the longest open-air gallery in the world.
Over a hundred original wall paintings can be seen on the 1.3 km long piece of the former hinterland wall in Friedrichshain. Paintings like the "brother kiss" are still popular photo motifs.
