Tips from locals
Interesting Museum on the old railway line which the Queen visited in the early days. Walking distance to 3 Kings B & B.
This quaint museum is housed in the Yarra Junction Railway station which was built in 1888 and moved from Lilydale to its present site, circa 1915. The station buildings have recently (2012-13) been significantly repaired, restored and refurbished. The Museum and other heritage and non-heritage buildings, as well as the Museum precinct itself, house an eclectic range of paper-based items and numerous artefacts which reflect predominantly the timber, rail and agricultural histories of the Upper Yarra. Great for kids.
