Why locals recommend it
The Gilmore houses a huge collection of classic and vintage automobiles and it’s worth the trek to visit. The impressive, overwhelming collection includes Pierce-Arrows, Cadillacs, Lincolns, and many others housed in barns and replica vintage dealerships. Be sure to check out the 1930s Shell Gas Station with its bright yellows, oranges, and reds. Get a bite at George & Sally’s Blue Moon Diner, a restored, 1941 roadside diner rescued from Meriden, Connecticut. Also, check the Gilmore’s calendar for many events, two especially worth the drive are the Relix Riot traditional hot rod show and the vintage motorcycle show.

Tips from locals
Rainy day? This is the perfect antidote. This is the largest car museum in the USA! It's about a 40 minute drive but well worth it.
Sprawling museum to 400 cars and motorcycles, plus a restored 1941 diner serving food.
